Terms & Conditions

T & L Vehicle Repairs Ltd T/A Crown Garage Orpington ("we", "us", or "our") provides vehicle repair, maintenance, and related services ("Services") subject to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). By booking an appointment, bringing your vehicle to our premises, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website or notifying you. Your continued use of Services after changes constitutes acceptance.

 1.⁠ ⁠Booking and Estimates

Bookings: Appointments can be made via phone, website, or in person. 

Estimates: Quotes are estimates only and may change based on inspection. We will seek your approval for additional work exceeding the original estimate.

Diagnosis Fee: A fee of £45.00 + VAT may apply for diagnostic work if no repairs are authorised.

 2.⁠ ⁠Services and Workmanship

We will perform Services using reasonable skill and care.

Parts used are new or reconditioned unless agreed otherwise. Warranties on parts are as provided by suppliers and may vary on supplier. Please request confirmation of warranty on parts and we will provide this information accordingly.

We are not liable for pre-existing faults not identified during inspection, or diagnosed by a third-party.

 3.⁠ ⁠Payment

Payment is due upon completion of Services or before vehicle release.

Accepted methods: Cash, card, bank transfer.

Unpaid invoices accrue interest at 1% per month above Bank of England base rate, on the basis that a reasonable explanation for late or no payment cannot be provided.

We have a lien on your vehicle for unpaid amounts and may retain it until paid.

 4.⁠ ⁠Vehicle Collection and Delivery

Risk: Your vehicle is at your risk once collected or delivered. Secure it during test drives.

Storage: Storage fees of £15.00 + VAT per day apply after 30 days post-completion if not collected, and a suitable reason for not collecting the vehicle has been provided.

Courtesy Vehicles: If provided, subject to separate terms; fuel and damage charges apply.

 5.⁠ ⁠Liability and Exclusions

We limit liability to the cost of Services for indirect, consequential, or economic loss (e.g., vehicle hire, lost profits).

You must insure your vehicle; we recommend comprehensive cover.

 6.⁠ ⁠Health and Safety

Comply with site rules. No smoking, pets, or unsupervised children.

Declare hazardous materials (e.g., airbags, batteries).

We may refuse entry for safety reasons.

 7.⁠ ⁠Data Protection

Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

 8.⁠ ⁠Complaints

Contact us within 28 days of Service. We aim to resolve within 7 days unless there is a reasonable delay for the complain not being resolved, i.e. delay on parts, delay on third-party contact.

 9.⁠ ⁠Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays due to events beyond control (e.g., strikes, pandemics).

10.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes subject to courts of England and Wales.
